Dan Berexa is a partner in the Nashville, Tennessee law firm of Cornelius & Collins, LLP and an instructor at the Nashville School of Law. Dan has been repeatedly named to Best Lawyers and Superlawyers and was named in the Nashville Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" in 2009. The focus of his practice is in the areas of tort and personal injury law, commercial litigation, product liability, professional liability and insurance law. He represents plaintiffs and defendants, in both state and federal courts, at the trial and appellate levels. Dan's trial experience includes obtaining a 7.8 million dollar verdict in a Madison County wrongful death case arising from the death of a Tennessee Highway patrolman.
Dan received his law degree from the University of Tennessee, where he graduated cum laude, and was a member of the Tennessee Law Review. He obtained his undergraduate degree in criminal justice from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Nashville, Williamson County, Tennessee and American Bar Associations. Dan serves on the Board of Governors of the Tennessee Bar Association, is a graduate of the TBA's Leadership Law Program and is a past chair of the TBA's Law Office Technology and Management section. Dan served in the Army with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in the Persian Gulf War in 1991.
